of Cheyenne Bottoms” a basin that contains Cheyenne Bottoms
Wildlife Area. This area is considered the most important ecosystem
in Kansas and has been designated as a “Wetland of International
Importance”. It may also be the most important shorebird
migration point in the western hemisphere.
