Welcome to Historic Hoisington, Kansas, a beautiful, proactive community in the heart of the Cheyenne Bottoms Wildlife Area.

Our history dates back to the late 1880s and the Missouri-Pacific Railroad as it found its way through the Central Kansas plains.

Settlers from the east found fine grazing lands, plentiful game and timbered stream valleys, a true paradise.

Today, 3000 people call Hoisington home, enjoying the truly unique treasure found only in the Bottoms area.
